Live-in care

Live in Care can be a real viable alternative to a Nursing home. Live in Care enables the clients to remain in their home with full time support. At MOB Healthcare, we work with our clients to ensure that the live-in carer, as well as the care provided, is right for them as they become part of your family. A full no obligation assessment will be carried out to tailor the care plan to the client individual needs with all costs explained. The client will be given carer profiles to enable them to make an informed decision on which carer they feel will meet their needs. The clients care journey can then being and regular contact with the care manager will be ongoing to discuss any changes in their circumstances or needs.

Support may include:

Maintaining a safe environment for the service users by following safety guidelines and robust risk assessments.
Providing companionship and taking service user out for fresh air if appropriate.
Communicating with family members and other caregivers regarding the service user’s progress.
Preparing meals and assist with feeding the service user if unable to do so independently.
Preparing medications as directed by a physician and ensuring that they are taken properly by the service user.

Working collaboratively with service user in preparing activities, to participate in during their free time such as watching television or listening to music.
Supporting service user with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, moving and handling and feeding.
Monitoring the service user’s behaviour to ensure that no injuries occur due to falls or other accidents.
Supporting service user maintain independence by assisting with household chores such as cooking and cleaning, shopping for groceries, and paying bills.
